INVOLVEMENT, HONORS, SKILLS

I am involved in Kappa Alpha Theta at Baylor University. I will be CASA Couture chair for the 2013 event. This is where we convert our chapter room into a "store" to accomodate different vendors from the surrounding areas in order to raise money and awareness for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). This organiziation is important because it assists abused and neglected children  that are going through the court system.

I am a member of Kappa Omicron Nu which is a family and consumer sciences honor society. Through this organization we work harder towards our educational goals as well as reaching out to the community through service.

Within Kappa Alpha Theta I also participate in creating our float for the homecoming parade, intramural sports, study hall hours, and volunteering at Kid's Club which helps local children on Thursday afternoons.

I work at Roots Boutique, located in downtown Waco, where I have aquired an abundance of knowledge from operating the register to tagging new garments, to simply assisting customers.

I have skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, CAD, and Adobe.

In high school I was involved as a student council executive officer where I learned many leadership skills as well as event planning, and time management skills.
